Basically Pure Data is my <a href=\"http:\/\/har0ld.com\/playground\/2011\/05\/we-need-a-midi-engine-i\/\" target=\"_blank\">MIDI engine<\/a>, the only difference is that I would less go on the playground\u2019s road and aim more at a middle ground ala <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9y2Is6Cl4wY\" target=\"_blank\">Sound Shapes<\/a> (on a side note I don\u2019t think platformers are great for heavy audio sync, the game flow is too noisy). If only we could have a game audio engine standard for that\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Also, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/blogs\/AleksanderAdamkiewicz\/20120805\/175373\/Building_Better_Tools_For_Game_Design.php\" target=\"_blank\">building better tools for game design<\/a>. My take on this was \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/har0ld.com\/playground\/2012\/06\/the-problem-with-unity\/\" target=\"_blank\">the problem with Unity<\/a>\u201d. Again if we could get our \u201ccamera &amp; microphone\u201d standard to build games and I mean games, gameplay rules and feedback not worlds that would be great now that we have reached maximum asset output for 3D engines and humans\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Excellent article on Pugs Luv Beats\u2019 Theory of Fun and generative music.
