{"id":1845,"date":"2014-06-07T15:19:42","date_gmt":"2014-06-07T15:19:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/har0ld.com\/playground\/?p=1845"},"modified":"2014-06-07T15:19:44","modified_gmt":"2014-06-07T15:19:44","slug":"i-love-you-sound","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/har0ld.com\/playground\/2014\/06\/i-love-you-sound\/","title":{"rendered":"I love you sound"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s beautiful how it\u2019s easy to <strong>watch<\/strong> something, while we have the technical ability to close our <strong>eyes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s fascinating how it\u2019s hard to <strong>listen<\/strong> to something, while we have no built-in ways to mute our <strong>ears<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I guess this is why we browse Tumblr or Instaterest forever but don\u2019t with Soundcloud or Bandcamp.<\/p>\n<p>Or why we loop a song over and over \u2013so much information- but don\u2019t to that degree with a movie or a picture.<\/p>\n<p>This is what makes sound such a powerful, timeless, universal and really hard thing to comprehend, while visuals are ephemeral, personal and easy to understand.<\/p>\n<p>The dissonance is that we don\u2019t value sound so much while our entire species survived thanks to our ears accuracy. Our human intellect from our conscience \u2013inner voice- to communication, is sound-based.<\/p>\n<p>When I see kids comments on YouTube being like, <em>\u201cman that 71 jam is blowing me away, I never thought music could be so good I wanna cry now\u201d<\/em> it is making me feel good to dig, work and live through sound and music.<\/p>\n<p>Because that universality is prodigious and through our digital lives being handed to incompatible silos, is becoming more precious everyday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s beautiful how it\u2019s easy to watch something, while we have the technical ability to close our eyes.
