Un musicien, un audio designer depuis 1983 et qui a plus fait (lui et son &eacute;quipe hein) pour le game audio que des dizaines et des dizaines de gens.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\">Apr&egrave;s avoir cr&eacute;&eacute; un catalogue de musique n&#8217;ayant jamais vraiment servi, Fatman a lanc&eacute; The Project Horseshoe. Un <em>game design think tank<\/em>. Yeah.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\">R&eacute;sum&eacute; <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.projecthorseshoe.com\/ph07\/ph07r2.htm\">l&agrave;<\/a> (must read pour tout game designer me lisant et odieusement pas au courant de ce projet). J&#8217;adore cette phrase:<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\"><em>&quot;We believe that game designers are in the business of <strong>experience creation<\/strong> rather than that of storytelling.&quot;<\/em><\/font><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\">Exactement. Pourquoi on les fait -en dehors de l&#8217;&eacute;vidence du cool-, qu&#8217;est ce qu&#8217;ils peuvent apporter ? Ca me passionne. Et tout se lie, avec <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gamehelper.com\/magazine\/features\/jonathan-blow-says-fuck-that\">l&#8217;interview<\/a> passionnante de Jonathan Blow, plus pr&eacute;cis encore que lors de ces derni&egrave;res (&agrave; propos des jeux d&#8217;aujourd&#8217;hui):<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\"><em>&quot;<strong>So we put up these faux challenges, and then reward people for being sheep and passing through them<\/strong>.&nbsp; If we do a good enough job at fooling the player into thinking these are real challenges, then we distort his long-term sense of what a real challenge is.&nbsp; Anything that he isn&#8217;t cakewalked through seems insurmountable, or at least not worth attending to.&nbsp; Because <strong>why bother doing something hard, if his brain has been re-trained to know that it will be consistently rewarded for plodding through easy tasks?<\/strong><\/em>  <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\"><em>I think some personality types are immune to this &#8212; for example, most games just don&#8217;t interest me anymore, for precisely the reasons I am talking about.&nbsp; But I think those people are in the minority.&quot;<\/em><\/font><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\">Je suis pas sorti de l&#8217;ile de Link sur Zelda PT &agrave; cause de &ccedil;a. Direct, je vois le reward et je vois ces challenges &agrave; deux balles, tirer des leviers pour ouvrir une porte&#8230; Et je sais que c&#8217;est bien fait, que &ccedil;a s&#8217;enchaine merveilleusement mais je &quot;vois&quot; trop la m&eacute;canique, le syst&egrave;me pour aller plus loin, l&#8217;esth&eacute;tique ne me suffisant pas (l&agrave; o&ugrave; un No More Heroes tr&egrave;s classique mais d&eacute;jant&eacute; dans sa pr&eacute;sentation, me donne envie). C&#8217;est pas comme si je n&#8217;avais pas pass&eacute; des heures &agrave; faire &ccedil;a plus jeune. Maintenant que je suis dans le business et avec 20 ans de plus, clairement j&#8217;ai envie d&#8217;autre chose. En tant que joueur comme en tant que designer.  <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\">Sans compter que j&#8217;ai l&#8217;impression qu&#8217;il d&eacute;crit la vie r&eacute;elle que la soci&eacute;t&eacute; nous propose&#8230; Faux challenges et moutons.
